Softball Australia has joined forces with global technology leader Rapsodo to leverage flight monitor technology and data ahead of the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup to uplift analysis in the game.
The technology has been widely used in golf to ensure precision and meticulous training metrics, and Softball Australia is thrilled to be at the forefront of its incorporation into softball in Australia.
Equipped with two cameras and the capability to track and record pitching and hitting at the same time, Rapsodo’s PRO 2.0 instantly provides more than 20 pro-level metrics, while Pro Series Membership ensures thousands of practice videos are safely stored for analysis alongside player data in a personalised profile.

Already a Rapsodo user for twelve months, Softball Australia will now uplift their use of the technology and adopt the market-leading softball flight monitor, PRO 2.0, across all the women’s, men’s, and youth programs.
“Rapsodo delivers data‑driven, real‑time feedback that adds significant value to athlete and coach development,” said Clare Walker, General Manager – Game Development at Softball Australia. “Access to this level of insight represents a meaningful advancement in how we support learning, decision‑making and the ongoing strengthening of our high‑performance pathways.”
Kerrie Porter, Head Coach of the Aussie Spirit said, “Being a decentralised program, having real time data available for coaches to assess performance will contribute to our athletes’ development.”

“We can track skills-based performance in aspects like spin rate, velocity, gyro degree, stride length, launch angle, and more,” said Matthew Rigby, Director of International Markets for Rapsodo. “We’re incredibly proud to be chosen as Softball Australia’s partner.”
“They’ve been doing an amazing job of growing the sport in Australia, and we’re excited to support such a fantastic organisation, from the staff of Softball Australia to the dedicated coaching staff and talented athletes across Australia.”
